DJ Premier announces that his longtime studio, D&D, is shutting down, and that he has a new album, "Last Session @320," in the works.
Over the past 30 or so years, DJ Premier has made his mark on hip-hop in a way that few producers have. Most recently, he did it with Adrian Younge andRoyce Da 5'9", his two cohorts in PRhyme, but this year, things are changing for the veteran. First off, he'll be shuttering his longtime recording space at D&D Studios (known as "The HeadQcouterz"), but then he'll be relocating to a space in Astoria, Queens, and releasing a new album.
