That's right, the 1017 Brick Squad Monopoly rapper announced via his Instagram that is offering 50,000 dollars a year for a personal blunt roller, and he asked that yousubmit your applications via the hashtag #ICanRoll (a clever play on his recent I Can't Rap Vol. 1 mixtape).

Fergie Is Working On A New Album With Mike WiLL Made It

Eight years after her last album, Fergie is readying a follow-up with Mike WiLL Made It.

Fergie's first and (to date) only solo album, The Duchess, just celebrated its eighth anniversary yesterday, and right on the heels of that comes news of a follow-up. Rap-Up reports that the female quarter of the Black Eyed Peas is "working on a new album," and Mike WiLL Made It is involved.
Basing their report on Fergie telling Billboard that it's a “good bet” that the album will be released in 2015, an interview the singer recently did with Chelsea Handler, and a new tweet about a music video (see below), Rap-Up paints a convincing picture of a Fergie who's once again motivated to make music. They add, "The first single, reportedly titled 'L.A. Love (La La),' is expected to arrive as early as next week."

Dr. Dre Scrapped "Detox" For New Album Title, Says Producer Dawaun Parker

Parker: "The album he's working on is not called 'Detox.'"
Dr. Dre may release another album, but it won't be called Detoxaccording to Dawaun Parker, a producer who has worked with DreEminem and 50 Cent, among others, over the course of his career.
"The album he’s working on is not called Detox,” Parker says in an interview with Jeff Weiss and Nocando for the duo's Shot's Fired Podcast. "He scrapped Detox a couple of years ago and came up with another title. I won’t say what the title is 'cause I haven’t seen that online or anything yet.”
Parker, who says he's worked on several potential album cuts for Dre, says he believes the man behind Aftermath will release the new album one day.
"The music is there," Parker adds. "I feel like one day, [Dr. Dre is] gonna wake up and say, ‘Today’s the day,’ and put it out. The music’s been there."
Parker, who reveals Busta Rhymes' "Get You Some" was initially meant for Dr. Dre, explains that he only mentions this album news now because he’s seen Marsha Ambrosius discuss Detox’sstatus during a June 2014 interview with Rap-Up.
"Detox was a title that was thrown around so many years ago," she said at the time. "There’s so many other things in the works for you to not have to be concerned about anyone detoxing. It sounds like a fitness center now. No, you’ll see something else.”

Kendrick Lamar "i" Cover Art

The cover art for Kendrick Lamar's "I" has been released.
Top Dawg Entertainment’s Top Dawg has released the cover art for Kendrick Lamar’s forthcoming “i” single.
The cover art is below, as is a tweet
from Top Dawgabout new TDE material.

“i” is labeled as “new music” in an e-mail from Top Dawg, while NAHRIGHT refers to it as a single.
The “i" image features a person dressed in blue facing a person in red. Both are making similar hand gestures.
Kendrick Lamar has discussed working on the follow-up to his acclaimed 2012 album, good kid, m.A.A.d city.
"You're only as good as your last piece of work," Kendrick Lamar said of his forthcoming album in June, "so now it's about what's right now and me putting that same 110 percent that I did with the last one."
Top Dawg’s tweet also says that music from Jay Rock is coming soon.

Russell Simmons Says "Public Enemy Changed Everything About Black America"

Russell Simmons and Rick Rubin detail Public Enemy's origins at Def Jam.
In the latest interview segment released by Noisey,Russell Simmons and Rick Rubin recalled Chuck D'sreluctance to return to music and the early development of Public Enemy at Def Jam
In the third of a four-part segment about the label, Simmons explained the political impact of the group.
“Public Enemy changed everything about Black America,” he said. “Everything. They madeFarrakhan popular. They helped make the Million Man March. They put red, black, and green shit around niggas’ necks instead of chains. They did everything. They were amazing.”
Detailing his early interactions with Chuck D, Rick Rubin recalled the rapper feeling like “he was too old” for a second-wind in music.
“I had a post-it note with his phone number on it next to my phone,” Rubin said. “So anytime I was at the phone I would see, ‘Chuck D. Call Chuck D.’ He said he was too old. He said he had a regular job. He’d put out a record as Spectrum City and LL was hot at the time and he felt like, ‘Now it’s a 16-year old kid, I don’t want to compete with that. I’m from a different time and I had my time.’ And he put out the Spectrum City record and it didn't happen and he just sort of hung it up.
DMC played us a song, but it was only like a minute-long version of the song ‘Public Enemy No. 1,’” he added. “That was his radio show theme. Eventually after badgering him, after months, finally, they came in and they said, ‘Okay, we’re ready to do this but it’s not Chuck D it’s Public Enemy: the Hip Hop version of The Clash. Here’s Professor Griff. Here’s Flava Flav. Here’s Hank, here’s the Bomb Squad. We’re gonna have the S1W’s.’ They had the whole thing planned out and I said, ‘Anything you wanna do. Fine. Anyway you wanna do it.’”
Simmons also addressed the group charting new territory and the backlash they received.
“Nothing the fuck else sounded like Public Enemy,” he said. “Nothing. And Rick recognized that. They were like in a way closest to the gangster group as much as they were to most conscious groups. He was tough and he had reason to be tough. He was rebellious and he had reason to be rebellious. But there were many people upset by certain things that came out of his mouth. And they should have been, because they liked the way shit was. Public Enemy didn’t like the way shit was.”
“When Public Enemy’s first album came out on the mixshows, Hip Hop only shows, they would only play the instrumental versions of Public Enemy records,” Rubin recalled. “They would not play the lyrics. They didn’t like his voice. They didn’t like what he had to say. It didn’t fit and they didn’t like that. They wanted it to be more...songs about rims. I always looked at is as counter culture. For me it was like a Black version of Punk Rock. It was bringing music back to the street.”
